Simple installation done in four steps

CWL Anker systems are intended for situations where a permanent guardrail is technically not feasible. Applied correctly, the CWL Anker is a fully certified and responsible choice - exactly what the product was developed for.

More about correct application

01

Clean the substrate

Clean the roof covering at the intended location so it is dry and grease-free. Standard cleaning agent every roofer already has at hand. Check for cracks, blisters or loose layers.

02

Apply primer (if required)

On bitumen and EPDM a primer is required for optimal adhesion. Apply with a brush and let it dry - two to five minutes. Often not needed on PVC and steel. See the installation manual for your roof type.

03

Mix and apply the adhesive

Mix the two-component adhesive and apply it to the base of the anchor point. Position the anchor point and press down firmly. No clamps, screws or pressing required - hand pressure is enough.

04

Cure - done

Allow at least 24 hours of curing before use. On bitumen and at temperatures below 15°C at least 72 hours. Ready for immediate use afterwards - no finishing, no inspection required before first use.

Technical documentation

Declarations of performance, technical data sheets and installation manuals in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011). Keep these documents as part of your installation file.

Keep all documents together with the project-specific installation file (substrate type, installation conditions, inspection report). This file is required as the equivalent of the structural calculation under Annex I condition no. 20.
